TAKING A PAUSE: ELECTION STRESS



What is your preference or style for slowing down? Whether it is going through the process of election, the outcome, or change, I have been trying to:

  • Slowing down by pausing

  • Feeling the stillness when pausing

  • Connecting to the support of the ground beneath, the chair, cushion, or any seat that is supporting this posture in this moment

  • Experiencing the breath going in and out and sensing into the experience of the movement of the body receiving the inhale and allowing the exhale

  • Reaching out for support and being able to offer support

  • Concluding conversations with identifying one or two steps of how we can hold and support ourselves and others.

    I encourage you to try out what resonates with you to pause and slow down so the anchor of your choice to feel grounded comes to awareness and offers that needed support.
